Founded by Mike Frka and proudly serving the South Bay area since 1989, MAF Construction is a family-owned and operated general contracting company based in San Pedro, California.

With over three decades of hands-on experience, MAF Construction specializes in residential and commercial construction. From demolition to custom finishes, every project is handled with the same care and attention to detail as if it were our own home.

Mike’s journey began early—working in masonry for his uncle at just 12 years old. He later learned plumbing from another uncle and went on to refine his construction expertise while working up north in Salinas. After serving as a superintendent for Rich Development for five years, Mike returned home and founded MAF Construction. What began as a primarily commercial construction business has since evolved to include both residential and commercial projects of all sizes.

Known for his calm demeanor, honesty, and hands-on approach, Mike takes pride in doing things right the first time—never cutting corners and always focusing on what’s behind the walls as much as what’s visible. His reputation is built on trust, quality, and genuine care for every client.

Mike’s sons Matt and Haden have followed in his footsteps, carrying on the family tradition of craftsmanship and integrity.
